The 20-03 is an I/O expander Module which provides four relay outputs, plus eight open drain I/O pins which also serve as inputs.

The 20-03 is an I/O expander Module which provides four relay outputs,
plus eight open drain output pins which also serve as inputs.
The 20-03 outputs can be activated by Salcom Relay Protocol or other ASCII text over a serial connection.
Salcom Relay Protocol commands may be embedded in a POCSAG message received by a 20-90 transceiver, allowing activation of outputs by remote POCSAG transmitters.
Activation by POCSAG messages can be limited to a CAP code range, or
outputs can be triggered by any message sent to a CAP code within a range. Outputs may also be configured to respond to any specified text within the serial data.
Inputs on the 20-03 can generate Salcom protocol POCSAG messages over a serial connection which can be transmitted to a pager by a Salcom 20-90 transceiver or a Salcom 20-62 transmitter. Alternatively, inputs can be configured to send any ASCII text over the serial connection in response to an input change.
Power Supply | +13.8V typical (11 to 15 VDC range) |
Power Consumption | Normal Operation: 15mA Relays: 20mA per energized relay |
Configuration Application | Salcom Configuration Tool (Sacoto) |
